As of January 2011, less than 37% of Americans own a passport. That means for the vast majority of Americans, the closest thing to being immersed in a foreign culture is driving through Westminster. Sure, you can look up the Sistine Chapel on the Internet to find out what it looks like, but you have to actually go there to know what it smells like inside...

Actually, it's not necessarily a pleasant smell, especially during the summer months, but I digress.  I love seeing other parts of the world, experiencing culture, food, and language, even if I don't fully understand it.  Here are some snapshots of places I've been.
